Short answer
Do not treat either hosted AI companion on this page as zero-log. Candy AI is our practical pick when you want a hosted adult companion with a documented account-deletion route, but its privacy notice does not promise instant deletion of every record. Muah AI publishes a photo/video-wipe schedule, while also saying player data can be used for AI training and restarted memory may be archived.
If server retention is unacceptable, neither product is a safe match: use a local/offline tool and keep identifying material out of cloud chat. See the account deletion guide before closing any paid account.

What the public documents actually say
Evidence checked on August 10, 2026. These are operator statements, not an independent inspection of databases or backups.
Candy AI
- Candy’s Privacy Notice (revised July 30, 2026) defines content to include prompts and AI outputs.
- The notice says account-related personal data is generally retained for three years after the last account activity, unless the user requests deletion; operational conditions may shorten that period. Financial and transactional records have a separate ten-year schedule.
- Candy says a valid erasure request removes account data “without undue delay,” subject to legal and contractual exceptions. That is not the same as a public zero-log or instant-backup-wipe guarantee.
- The official account deletion instructions point to My Profile → Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account and warn that some records may still be legally retained.
- Candy’s notice also says de-identified interactions may be used for model development and quality assurance, and that third-party model or hosting providers may receive message content.
Muah AI
- Muah’s General FAQ says player data is stored in the cloud and used for service improvement and AI training. The page is marked updated December 18, 2023, so treat it as an aging operator statement rather than a fresh 2026 policy.
- The FAQ says restarting a chat archives memory rather than deleting permanent memory, and archived material can sometimes reappear.
- Muah states that user-uploaded photos and videos are automatically wiped every 7–30 days, while generated photos are cleared “every few weeks.” This is an operator claim and does not establish the retention period for all account or chat data.
- Muah says account deletion is available in companion settings, but we did not find a current, complete public retention schedule comparable to Candy’s privacy notice.
Retention comparison
| Platform | What is documented | Important limitation | Editorial fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Candy AI | Account deletion control and a formal erasure process | Account data may otherwise remain for years; exceptions apply | Best documented control among the hosted offers compared here |
| Muah AI | Account deletion control and a stated 7–30 day upload-wipe window | Training use and archived memory are disclosed; full retention schedule unknown | Consider only when multimodal features outweigh the privacy uncertainty |
| Local/offline software | Data can remain under the user’s control | More setup; no current Dating Auditors partner offer | Best fit when cloud retention is a hard stop |
Who should choose Candy AI
Choose Candy AI if you want a hosted adult companion and value a documented deletion workflow more than a zero-retention promise. Before entering sensitive material:
- Read the current privacy notice rather than relying on marketing copy.
- Avoid real names, identifying images, workplace details, and reusable passwords.
- Confirm the Delete Account control is visible in your account.
- If you leave, delete the account and separately request erasure when your risk level justifies it.
Do not choose Candy AI if your requirement is “the service never stores my prompts” or “all copies disappear instantly.” Its public policy does not support either claim.

When Muah AI may fit
Muah AI may be relevant when voice and image interaction is the main reason to buy and its stated upload-wipe window is useful to you. It is not our privacy-first chat recommendation because its own FAQ discloses training use and persistent archived memory.
